About Me

I am an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department in the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the Rio de Janeiro State University. I received my BSc in Mathematics in 2008 at the Fluminense Federal University and my MSc and PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2010 and 2014 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. During my PhD I have been a visiting scholar of the Computer Science Department at New York University (March 2012 - March 2013). My research interests are mainly Volumetric Visualization, Geometric Modeling and Data Visualization. In addition to research, I currently coordinate the junior company of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics and the Odu Initiative extension project: in search of race equity in academia.
